Tokyo Rose
It's okay if you kind of have sappy music playing in your head right now. Thanks, Dianna Silver :)

Oh most assuredly - :D Thank you Dianna !
DizzasterJuice 14th Oct 2013, 9:06 PM edit delete reply

very nice renders!
cattservant 14th Oct 2013, 9:44 PM edit delete reply

All God's chillun got glands!

[Hey Kyle,
Don't forget to change
Your ship drive brain's
Vocal response program
Fairly soon!]
Stormwind13 15th Oct 2013, 9:12 AM edit delete reply

Even if he changed it Cat... I'm betting Rose (Spiky ball of hate) might change it BACK so that Lynn could get a chance to hear it. :-D
mjkj 15th Oct 2013, 12:38 AM edit delete reply

Wow, great picture - and very fitting to the normal updates

Thank you Dianna
Dianna Silver 16th Oct 2013, 3:05 PM edit delete reply

Hey, thanks! And finally something I've done DC-wise that hasn't been nitpicked! Yay!
Sheela 15th Oct 2013, 2:49 AM edit delete reply

*pant* *pant* *pant* *pant*

cattservant 15th Oct 2013, 3:21 AM edit delete reply

Short Pants or Trousers?

[Or maybe Kilts!]
Highlander55 15th Oct 2013, 4:29 AM edit delete reply
Sheela's looking for the pants.
cattservant 15th Oct 2013, 5:00 AM edit delete reply

Probably find more with the kilts, though.
Stormwind13 15th Oct 2013, 6:56 AM edit delete reply

Especially from a puppy's point of view, Cat. Would that make her a peeping Sheela though? :-D
cattservant 15th Oct 2013, 6:59 AM edit delete reply

Depends how cold her nose is...
Sheela 15th Oct 2013, 9:48 AM edit delete reply

I have his pants !! :D
Rashala 15th Oct 2013, 1:41 PM edit delete reply

*has Sheela Tranq darted before her drool gets so big it shorts out her PC and centys*
Stormwind13 15th Oct 2013, 6:33 PM edit delete reply

Good plan, Rash. I mean, she is just making MESSES here. Gets out the handy-dandy, never-fail little giant log puller and puts it on the tranquilized Sheela.

There, that should keep her from making QUITE as big a mess. Now as long as she doesn't find a beaver we should be good. :-D
Rashala 15th Oct 2013, 9:04 PM edit delete reply

Where would she find THAT at this hour?
Dianna Silver 16th Oct 2013, 3:05 PM edit delete reply

>.> Does that mean there's a fan of Kyle's new looks? I'm a bit lost.
Sheela 17th Oct 2013, 1:58 AM edit delete reply

*runs around all hyperactive with several tranq darts hanging from the side and Kyle's pants in her mouth*

I like .. I like .. I like !! :D
Rms2000 15th Oct 2013, 6:17 AM edit delete reply
Whoa. There's like a whole canvas-y overlay thingy. At first I thought it was like static or something, but that doesn't make sense. Now i'm certain it was intentional. Nice touch.
highlander55 15th Oct 2013, 6:56 PM edit delete reply

Looks almost like the gauze technique.
Dianna Silver 16th Oct 2013, 3:03 PM edit delete reply

It *was* intentional. I was going for more a "this is a painting" rather than "this is a photo" type of thing.
Stormwind13 15th Oct 2013, 6:49 AM edit delete reply

I submit for your (possibly sappy) enjoyment - Somewhere Out There and Ain't No Mountain High Enough. Those are the two songs that IMMEDIATELY jumped into my head upon looking at the picture. :-)

And Dianna wonderful picture, captures the wishing you were there feel gazing into the night sky. Thank you. :-)
Centcomm 15th Oct 2013, 9:58 PM edit delete reply

I really like this pic - actually I love ALL of the pieces that have been submitted :D
Dragonrider 15th Oct 2013, 8:15 PM edit delete reply

Been re-reading the early years, Calli Taylor made the statement she got a call from a friend who gave her pointers on how to make Dolly's new body. Centcom made a note to find out who after this is over. It wouldn't happen to be Tokyo Rose who gave the hint would it?
Centcomm 15th Oct 2013, 9:58 PM edit delete reply

now that would be telling now wouldnt it :D
cattservant 16th Oct 2013, 2:47 AM edit delete reply

I'm almost certain
That Ms. Rose lists
'Master of Disguise
And Misdirection'
On her Resume.
Stormwind13 16th Oct 2013, 5:48 AM edit delete reply

Cat, why would Rose have a resume?!? I mean, it isn't like she is going to be applying for a JOB! :-D She just is a force of nature and she tends to be fairly DIRECT in her dealings with individuals and subtle in how she deals with civilizations. :-D

As to be involved with Calliope, I can't see it. Calliope doesn't CUSS near enough to have been exposed to Rose for any period of time. :-D
cattservant 16th Oct 2013, 9:26 AM edit delete reply

That's why I think
If it was TR,
She was probably using
An alternate identity.
Centcomm 16th Oct 2013, 9:32 AM edit delete reply

I cant really comment as per usual :P
I dont want Rose on MY butt.
Sheela 17th Oct 2013, 2:01 AM edit delete reply

I dunno Centy, Rose might have a comfy lap too. :)
Darnalak 16th Oct 2013, 6:00 AM edit delete reply
Sorry, late to the party. Did the harddrive issue get resolved?
Stormwind13 16th Oct 2013, 6:01 AM edit delete reply

Click back one comic, Darnalak. :-)
Darnalak 16th Oct 2013, 6:08 AM edit delete reply
Ah! Excellent! Not sure how I missed that, but I'm glad things got hooked up. I'll wait for the next tiny emergency to chime back in then!
Centcomm 16th Oct 2013, 9:13 AM edit delete reply

You can chime in anytime. we love hearing from you :D
Darnalak 16th Oct 2013, 12:05 PM edit delete reply
Hmm, funny how often people say that and then utterly regret it when they get to know me :).

I actually was reading Staff and Sword about a month ago, and eventually noticed that it hadn't updated since I started reading it (Sometimes I catch on to things really quickly) so thursday I decide to see what's taking up all the artists' time... and get to the end of the entire DC archives this morning and see... "BROKEN HARD DRIVE"... um, not acceptable. Wife, bring checkbook, comic in distress... but apparently I was too late! ahh blogs are awesome for run on thoughts.
Centcomm 16th Oct 2013, 12:45 PM edit delete reply

(( actually the fun part of the comic is the comments thats sometimes as entertaining as the comic itself. and HUGE thanks for the thought! ))

Donations are appreceated in general but yes the HD situation is ./.. mostly taken care of. EXCEPT Newegg sent a broken HD.

they want it shipped back via UPS ground 3 to 7 days.

the drive was sent overnight. and they will send the replacement via overnight. BUT the return is via UPS ground WHAT the fuck? *throws hands up in frustration. FML!
mjkj 16th Oct 2013, 1:09 PM edit delete reply

Oh, sad to hear that it is broken...

Well, as long as the replacement HD arrives overnight (I hope they ship it immediately) the return can be as long as they like...

Did they charge you extra for overnight shipping?
Centcomm 16th Oct 2013, 1:22 PM edit delete reply

the they are willing to ship it overnight once they get it back but they only accept exchanges/returns via UPS ground. AUUUUGH!
mjkj 16th Oct 2013, 1:24 PM edit delete reply

Well then I would demand a refund of the overnight shipping fee...
