no they arent actually.. also MOST of the people in nova roma are just like you and me. living day to day and going to work or play. the customs and launguage may be diffrent - they have children and wives and all the wonderful things others have .. the slice of the population that is "evil" is all based on perspective. remember a LOT of Nova romans hold the machines responceable for a LOT of things. Horrible things. its something that is getting glossed over..
Well, that extension may or may not be reasonable ... we don't know if any of the other AIS' attacked like 3C did. It is certainly a possibility that they did. And I doubt Tokyo Rose's imaginary hands are completely free of innocent blood either.
Even Deep Blue may have a few skeletons in the closet ... for study, offcourse.
A lot of the war efforts were directed by, or at least managed by, AI systems. Deep Blue's always been all about information, but that can be just as bad or worse than controlling weapons directly.
As for innocent blood on hands . . . hm, "drenched" lacks a certain flair. Does "ensanguined" or "encarmined" sound more poetic? Also, strike out "on hands" and substitute "to the shoulders".
No, New Rome was created by the few survivors of the so called "surgical strikes" that a certain rampaging AIS went on.
Drenched to such a degree that all her dolls since then have been unable to wear any other color than red - As a tribute to the torrential streams of blood that ran trough the streets whereever she walked, with red eyes blazing in the night and people hiding ineffectively from her, as she ripped trough the darkest of night, a horrible monster in her own right.
Less than one in thousand survived that night.
As a horrible unfeeling monster stalked the streets.
Whispers were heard here and there ...
Very good point, toaster. He is either a member of Rose's group, or fairly unobservant. :-) I mean, Reiko wasn't exactly subtle there. And 'Master' didn't respond at all.
So either he is a really good actor or he is an unobservant a$$hole. In the latter case, I fear for his continued existance. If he is the former then he'll probably get rescued along with Reiko when things heat up in Nova Roma.
I created Reiko with Cent's help as an RPG character in the hopes I could get a chance to play in a game (assuming I could convince her to run one--which she's been doing since she moved, without any convincing needed), in the process helping Cent figure out rules for creating android characters (primarily providing motivation).
I've also been providing Cent with any and every daz and poser item I could get my hands on, both to help recover from computer problems and to provide additional materials for putting together comic pages.
Cent mentioned a possible cameo to me a while back; when she did, I suggested a far, far less significant appearance that had zero impact on the story: someone who simply knows someone, and was visiting or bumping into an acquaintance (additional setting/background fluff, basically). Then she throws this at me out of nowhere O_o
Very good job, velvet. I really like the look of the character there. :-) For all you've done for the comic (and I thank you for that too) you deserved a cameo. :-)
Kind of sad though that we probably won't get to see more of Reiko. I liked what we had seen of her. :-)
Thanks, though I did make a minor error or two when designing her look in Daz, but didn't catch it until I was making the second avatar image. (I made her eyes slightly larger than intended)
We'll see. I don't really have any more information on what the evil duo (Cent and Rose) may or may not have planned than anyone else does.
I think he's Gotta be in on it, too. Not even with a money bribe would I trust anyone outside the con with a sensitive drop like this.
This guy's gotta be a sympathizer at least, if not an active plotter. I think a chance at stopping the madness would be enough to make at least Some Nova Roman citizens take the chance
First Reiko says she will make it up to Ky...Leo, and then without any further making up she tells her master they will be on their way - so I believe he must be part of the ruse...
you are so very very correct.. not all romans belive in the prince Acantha has a lot of supporters as well. there is a dividing line forming .. thats good and bad..
Another thought, it seems that Rose probably provided Calli the basic info to make Dolly what if she has more than a few "Dolly's" around and this guy is one of them?
Even if Rose added a few things here and there, I think Calliope is sufficiently advanced enough in her designs that she's a few years, if not decades, ahead of the pack .. including Tokyo Rose.
Intriguing! :)
A number of them seem to be rather paranoid and cynical. ;)
We're conditioned.
Nova Roma citizens have good reason to both fear and loathe that particular AIS.

.... Akai Bara !!
...ewww! o.O
.. and they thought doggies couldn't be evil. :D
I even managed to squick out Rose !
So, I guess no pickpocketing has commenced...
So, I am wondering how she will be freed from her master (if he is not part of the ruse)? (and hopefully soon)

Calliope is, after all, a certified genius.
