Not a good time for discussing certain subjects!
Stormwind13 14th Mar 2014, 3:09 AM edit delete reply

There NEVER is a good time to discuss that subject, Cat. :-p
Centcomm 14th Mar 2014, 1:37 PM edit delete reply

oh what subject?
cattservant 14th Mar 2014, 2:46 PM edit delete reply

The flow patterns of the alimentary canal.
Centcomm 15th Mar 2014, 10:17 AM edit delete reply

hehe indeed!
Dragonrider 13th Mar 2014, 9:07 PM edit delete reply

And now we get to meet the mysterious Irene. How many people think she will be small and dainty?
How many think she will be able to arm wrestle Maxus to a draw?

Honest show of hands before Monday please. That is if our evil hostess doesn't change the scene for Monday and leave us wondering what she looks like.
velvetsanity 13th Mar 2014, 9:24 PM edit delete reply

What if she's small and dainty *and* able to arm wrestle Maxus to a draw?
Dragonrider 14th Mar 2014, 5:23 PM edit delete reply

Because if that scenario was true then Empress Irene and her Consort Maxus would rule Nova Roam and Douchie would have gone to the body bank long ago.
Sheela 14th Mar 2014, 1:20 AM edit delete reply

I dunno.
I still think she's his mother/surrogate mother.
So she would probably be normal sized then.

Alternatively, she could be another gene-joke like Maxus, and they could have grown up together as a brother & sister kind of thing.

We just won't know until we get more information.
velvetsanity 16th Mar 2014, 11:17 AM edit delete reply

Force of personality goes a long way. I bet Maxus' mother was a tiny little 4'11" slip of a girl with such force of personality that when she walked down a hallway with a frown people scrambled to get out of her way at least twice as fast as they do for Kali or her Cassians. :D

And when she smiled, plants grew, flowers bloomed, animals and birds started singing... :D
mjkj 14th Mar 2014, 2:23 AM edit delete reply

Please, Dragonrider, do not give her ideas like that...
Dragonrider 14th Mar 2014, 7:35 AM edit delete reply

MJKJ who do you think taught me to think like that?
Stormwind13 14th Mar 2014, 3:08 AM edit delete reply

I'm with velvet. Physically she isn't going to be imposing in height. Now Irene can still be plenty scary. That is where I put my vote. :-)
Centcomm 14th Mar 2014, 1:37 PM edit delete reply

cant comment on Irene yet :D
Rashala 13th Mar 2014, 11:34 PM edit delete reply

okay two we are certain Irene is his wife an NOT his mother....

and two. if you wanna see a small woman beating up a muscle man watch Full metal Alchemist Bro-hood That big muscled alchenmist's *little* sister beating the snot out of him and making him cry like a baby with little effort

mjkj 14th Mar 2014, 2:21 AM edit delete reply

I really like the chemistry between these two... :D
Centcomm 14th Mar 2014, 1:38 PM edit delete reply

They are one of my favorite pairs :D
velvetsanity 14th Mar 2014, 7:22 PM edit delete reply

Do I detect a hint of a Lynn/Acantha pairing in the works? :D (teasing)
Centcomm 15th Mar 2014, 10:15 AM edit delete reply

depends on the "pairing" in question .. if we are talking just good friends than probably .. :D
Sheela 15th Mar 2014, 12:40 PM edit delete reply

That ship sailed a long time ago, it's currently anchored side-by-side with Dolly & Ceci's ship at a tropical island drinking smoothies. :)
Stormwind13 16th Mar 2014, 5:22 PM edit delete reply

LOL Sheela. That is an interesting image you conjure. :-D
Tokyo Rose 16th Mar 2014, 6:26 PM edit delete reply

Ignore that curiously sonar-silent patch of deep water outside Commentary Harbor. It's certainly not the SS Heartfucker, loaded to the tits with anti-'shipping torpedoes and commanded by a writer prone to psychotic breaks.
Stormwind13 16th Mar 2014, 7:39 PM edit delete reply

LOL Rose. Now THAT gives one an interesting visual. :-D
KarToon12 14th Mar 2014, 6:56 AM edit delete reply

Nice job on the snow and stars! :D
Centcomm 14th Mar 2014, 1:38 PM edit delete reply

Well to be honest its all snow. guess I messed up slightly :D or ill just smile and nod :D
highlander55 14th Mar 2014, 8:27 AM edit delete reply

Maybe this is an orphanage and he is from here.
cattservant 14th Mar 2014, 10:11 AM edit delete reply

That's a Victorian thought.
Centcomm 14th Mar 2014, 1:39 PM edit delete reply

Stormwind13 16th Mar 2014, 5:29 PM edit delete reply

Didn't think of that before highlander, but it would work pretty well. And anyone that could turn Maxus into the man he is would be a SCARILY formidable woman. :-)
Centcomm 14th Mar 2014, 1:39 PM edit delete reply

maaaybe :D
highlander55 15th Mar 2014, 6:16 PM edit delete reply

Hmmm, come to think of it- it may be a gladiatorial orphanage. Looking at his size it could be where he got all the enhancements and skills. Worked his way up to his current position. Rome did have the Gladiators as well as Slaves.
velvetsanity 16th Mar 2014, 11:18 AM edit delete reply

And almost all gladiators were either slaves or criminals...
highlander55 16th Mar 2014, 6:56 PM edit delete reply
@velvet-- There was the occasional citizen who would enter the Games too!
Stormwind13 16th Mar 2014, 7:34 PM edit delete reply

Even a few 'emperors' were gladiators... Mostly exhibition displays with little real danger to their precious hides, but...
Aura_Spark 14th Mar 2014, 12:46 PM edit delete reply

Aaaaaaaanndd another page! Also, I'm with Acantha in the "don't puke on my hair" part, because A) I'm guessing Acanthat REALLY doesn't want that, and B) I don't really want to see Acantha covered in puke.

(I know its a joke =)
Centcomm 15th Mar 2014, 10:14 AM edit delete reply

would YOU want puke in your hair? LOL
Sheela 15th Mar 2014, 12:41 PM edit delete reply

I would like puke in Decimus' hair. :)
Draginbeard 14th Mar 2014, 3:04 PM edit delete reply

really liking the snow effects
Centcomm 15th Mar 2014, 10:14 AM edit delete reply

thank you - its a photoshop brush I found on DA :D
Stormwind13 16th Mar 2014, 5:27 PM edit delete reply

I agree the snow effect is very well done. And after this Winter, I've seen WAY more of it than I wanted to... And it really does look like that. :-)
Don B. 15th Mar 2014, 7:29 AM edit delete reply
Is it just my computer? Data Chasers and Luna Star are taking a long time to load. Started doing that two nights ago. Any idea what's up with that?
Centcomm 15th Mar 2014, 10:15 AM edit delete reply

not sure Comic fury has been wonky the last few weeks - sorry
Stormwind13 15th Mar 2014, 8:26 PM edit delete reply

Sometimes it loads fine for me Don. There have been a couple times though that I couldn't get it to load at all. :-p
