This whole saga is about cookies isn't it!
Vivocateur 18th Mar 2014, 9:06 PM edit delete reply

Secretly the real title is "Cookie Chasers".
Sheela 18th Mar 2014, 10:39 PM edit delete reply

I do believe we may have come upon the creater of the Cookie of Good Intentions. :)
highlander55 19th Mar 2014, 4:34 AM edit delete reply

@ Sheela, unfortunately there is a Cookie Monster to deal with! :)
Centcomm 18th Mar 2014, 10:53 PM edit delete reply

yes .. its all about the cookies :D
Marcus Ramesy 19th Mar 2014, 6:49 AM edit delete reply

even in new troy.... the cookies are legendary... it is said that high in a mountain, is a tiny hut, where men with beards and pointed hats make amazing confections.... perhaps this is their leader??
velvetsanity 20th Mar 2014, 3:04 PM edit delete reply

Charlie kept the chocolate factory in the family?
MikeLinPA 19th Mar 2014, 9:59 AM edit delete reply
Did you ever meet a cookie you didn't like?
(OK, but it's pretty rare! Right?)
Sheela 20th Mar 2014, 4:23 PM edit delete reply

Luckily, I live in Denmark, a place famous for pastries and butterscotch cookies. :)
sigpig 18th Jul 2015, 4:04 PM edit delete reply

There was this ONE time in Damascus...
Vivocateur 18th Mar 2014, 9:04 PM edit delete reply

Don't worry about anything...there are Cookies!
Dragonrider 18th Mar 2014, 9:11 PM edit delete reply

Welcome to the dark side We Have Cookies!!!
OK what is a Luna Nano frame? a body brace or a strength enhancer so she can keep up with Maxus in a sparing match?
Sheela 18th Mar 2014, 10:39 PM edit delete reply

A brace, huh ?

That's an interesting thought.
Centcomm 18th Mar 2014, 10:54 PM edit delete reply

That will be explained shortly.. :D
highlander55 19th Mar 2014, 4:27 PM edit delete reply

My guess is she's from Luna. Lower gravity and needs the mesh to withstand the higher gravity on Earth. That's why the Luna-Com link too- ET phone home occasionally.
Stormwind13 19th Mar 2014, 7:12 PM edit delete reply

Wow. That is a really good thought there highlander. One I hadn't considered at all.

I think the nano-frame is the circuit pattern under her dress and sheathing her arms... I was thinking it might be used for treating some kind of condition, but never considered it might be to compensate for the difference in gravity.
velvetsanity 20th Mar 2014, 2:29 PM edit delete reply

Stormwind, I'd say a need to compensate for the difference in gravity falls under "some kind of condition". ;)
Stormwind13 20th Mar 2014, 3:00 PM edit delete reply

Well true velvet, but I was thinking of injury or disease. Not adjustment for gravity's effects. :-D
velvetsanity 20th Mar 2014, 3:05 PM edit delete reply

Perhaps all of the above?
cattservant 19th Mar 2014, 7:50 PM edit delete reply

An eminently plausible conjecture.
I wonder why they have a LC link unit outside in the courtyard though?
mjkj 20th Mar 2014, 2:23 PM edit delete reply

Indeed, Cat, good point. I have my phone inside - not outside...
Sheela 20th Mar 2014, 4:25 PM edit delete reply

Maybe it's like a payphone, placed outside so people who go for a hike in the mountains can use it without having to enter the building.
Rashala 18th Mar 2014, 11:30 PM edit delete reply

I would be.....
UNSUPRISED if maxis comes in and she puts him in a headlock and he flails like a little girl!
Centcomm 19th Mar 2014, 12:47 AM edit delete reply

LOL thinks about that image LOL
Sheela 20th Mar 2014, 4:25 PM edit delete reply

Moe likely she tries to put him in a headlock, and he puts her in a bearhug. :)
mjkj 19th Mar 2014, 12:05 AM edit delete reply

Awww...

Too great. Irene really cares about Acantha.

...and, yayyy, cookies :D

*hugs Acantha, refrains from hugging Lynn and Irene - does not want to get in trouble with Maxus and Lynn does not want to be touched*
Tokyo Rose 19th Mar 2014, 12:31 AM edit delete reply

Irene, Bringer of Hugs, welcomes all hugs. It's when hands get wandery that Maxus starts making limb-detachment noises.
Jacob J Sebastian 19th Mar 2014, 12:47 AM edit delete reply
Irene: Bringer of Hugs, Baker of Cookies, Presenter of Noogies to Maxus.
mjkj 19th Mar 2014, 2:19 AM edit delete reply

*lol*

ok, then *hugs Irene, too*
Centcomm 19th Mar 2014, 12:48 AM edit delete reply

She really does .. shes a wonderful person :D
Stormwind13 19th Mar 2014, 3:09 AM edit delete reply

The way Acantha is responding to her, Irene really seems like she IS a wonderful person. Like the Mom that Acantha no longer has.
Centcomm 19th Mar 2014, 10:40 AM edit delete reply

:D and thats a excellent comment :D
Hornet 19th Mar 2014, 6:10 AM edit delete reply
Yay Cookies!
Centcomm 19th Mar 2014, 10:40 AM edit delete reply

Coookies!
KarToon12 19th Mar 2014, 8:34 AM edit delete reply

Cookies make everything better. :D
Centcomm 19th Mar 2014, 10:40 AM edit delete reply

they really can .. esp when made with loooove.
Stormwind13 19th Mar 2014, 1:57 PM edit delete reply

Cookies could make Douchebag better, but only if they were made with jequirity or something similar. :-D
Sheela 20th Mar 2014, 4:28 PM edit delete reply

No, no, make the cookies just like you usually do, then pack a metric ton of them in callophane wrap and dump the whole ton of them on top of his throne ... hope he sits in it when you drop the cookies from a high altitude. >:)
Stormwind13 20th Mar 2014, 6:41 PM edit delete reply

That would squish the cat too, Sheela. Cat would object to that... No one (that I'm interested in at least) would object to poisoning Douchebag though. And I want something that would be PAINFUL fatal for him. He deserves the extra attention.
cattservant 20th Mar 2014, 7:24 PM edit delete reply

Yeah, I think Katya has a destiny to fulfill.
Sheela 21st Mar 2014, 12:40 AM edit delete reply

Maybe you could distract the cat with a sunbeam to take a nap in ?

Thus she wouldn't get squished.
cattservant 21st Mar 2014, 12:49 AM edit delete reply

Make her some catnip cookies and hide them down by the stairs.
Stormwind13 16th Apr 2014, 2:56 PM edit delete reply

I'm not sure Douchebag lets his cat roam that far, Cat. From the images I can see, I think that Katya is chained down to the throne... or its vicinity at least. Some of the shots show a cable or fine chain attached to her collar. Without that I think she would have bolted if she could have when Douchebag was threatening Lynn.
rfaramir 19th Mar 2014, 9:27 AM edit delete reply
IIRC, Irene was speculated to be one of these: sweetheart, potential sweetheart, wife, mother, or sister of Maxus.

How about fairy godmother? Or extra-terrestrial godmother?
Centcomm 19th Mar 2014, 10:40 AM edit delete reply

maybe all of the above? LOL
mjkj 19th Mar 2014, 2:15 PM edit delete reply

Well, that would make a strange family, Cent, if all the above is true: she being Maxus, sweetheart, wife, mother and sister and alien faerie godmother...?

So, he married his sister, who is also his mother? That is worse than Oedipus...
Centcomm 19th Mar 2014, 2:23 PM edit delete reply

urrrrhhh- um well that was me just being vauge >_< shes not his Mother.. or Sister.. >_<
mjkj 19th Mar 2014, 2:41 PM edit delete reply

Ah, good, that was a bit disturbing...

So, you wanted to hint that she could be his sweetheart, potential sweetheart and wife at the same time as well an alien fairy godmother... :p
Centcomm 19th Mar 2014, 5:04 PM edit delete reply

hehe sure why not :D keep em guessing - she has to be one.. :D
Stormwind13 20th Mar 2014, 3:03 PM edit delete reply

I'm wondering if Irene could be a grandmother of some kind. I mean, she gives me that kind of vibe.

Admittedly Irene doesn't LOOK that old, but with anti-aging drugs, genetic manipulation and who knows what, she could be far older than she appears. And then the nano-frame might be to re-enforce her because of age related effects. :-)
Draginbeard 19th Mar 2014, 2:12 PM edit delete reply

Panel two really shows just how miserably sick Lynn is. Nice job.
Centcomm 19th Mar 2014, 2:24 PM edit delete reply

thank you - I was hoping it did :D
Timotheus 19th Mar 2014, 10:47 PM edit delete reply
The cake may be a lie, but the cookies are real?
cattservant 20th Mar 2014, 12:04 AM edit delete reply

Schrodinger's Pastries!
mjkj 20th Mar 2014, 4:35 AM edit delete reply

Great, where can I get some of these?

Oh, they are there, ... erm, no, oh, there, and gone......

Marcus Ramesy 20th Mar 2014, 6:24 AM edit delete reply

you changed the cookies because you observed them.. now ... they are definitely not cookies *slowly draws weapon*
velvetsanity 20th Mar 2014, 11:29 AM edit delete reply

Actually, I ate them all. *nom*nom*nom*

I don't know where those ones you were looking at came from.
cattservant 20th Mar 2014, 2:02 PM edit delete reply

You would really change the cookies if you ate them!
Stormwind13 20th Mar 2014, 2:56 PM edit delete reply

It could really change you too, Cat... Depending on how many cookies you ate! :-D
Sheela 20th Mar 2014, 4:36 PM edit delete reply

By the time I got around to the cookie jar, it was full of red herrings !

They were yummy. :)
mjkj 20th Mar 2014, 2:45 PM edit delete reply

It is great that Irene is comforting Acantha - after all she has been through...

That last panel looks like Acantha is just about letting go because she feels home and safe here.
*hugs Acantha again* - she looks like she is needing it...
Sheela 20th Mar 2014, 4:38 PM edit delete reply

Acantha really does need a place that is safe for her. She used to be safe in her own room, but no more .. things have gotten .. serious.
Stormwind13 20th Mar 2014, 5:33 PM edit delete reply

She has a place that is safe and hers, but she can't stay there Sheela. The room at Aeneas' is quite safe, but Acantha will not be able to protect her people if she cowers in there.

What Acantha needs is the love and caring that Irene seems to have... And (of course) COOKIES! :-)
Centcomm 20th Mar 2014, 5:42 PM edit delete reply

Cookies are awesome !
Stormwind13 20th Mar 2014, 5:50 PM edit delete reply

My grandmother made cinnamon rolls... I'm not sure, but I might have been willing to kill for one of those. Yes, they were THAT good (and that BAD for you). :-D
Sheela 21st Mar 2014, 12:42 AM edit delete reply

Cinnamon rolls are good too.
Interestingly, my mom was horrible at making pastries, but she made amazing stews.
Meanwhile, my dad was also horrible at making pastries, but he made great pancakes.

Between the two of them and the local baker, I was well catered for. :)
cattservant 23rd Mar 2014, 7:18 PM edit delete reply

Queen of 'D' cups...
GhostRider 16th Nov 2015, 6:51 AM edit delete reply
Hey! Watch out, she's allied to the dark side. She's probably Force sensitive, too.
